Level: Intermediate (B1–B2)

🎯 Focus: Practical British English for daily conversation, work, and social interaction

🧑‍🎓 Target Group: Teens to adults (Grade 8 and up, or age 14+)


🔹 Lesson Structure (Model)

Each lesson follows this format:

  1. Warm-up Talk (5 mins)

    • Example: “What did you do last weekend?”

    • Goal: Activate prior knowledge, get speaking immediately

  2. Vocabulary Booster (10 mins)

    • Theme-based: e.g. “At the Doctor’s”, “In a Supermarket”

    • British terms: lift (US: elevator), flat (US: apartment), trousers (US: pants)

  3. Grammar in Use (10 mins)

    • Key Focus: Past simple, present perfect, modal verbs, conditionals

    • Example: “I’ve lived here for 5 years.” (Present Perfect)

  4. Real-Life Dialogue Practice (10 mins)

    • Sample Conversation:

      A: “Excuse me, do you know where the nearest tube station is?”
      B: “Yes, it’s just round the corner, next to the chemist.”

  5. Speaking Task (10–15 mins)

    • Roleplay or situation-based:

      • Ordering food at a café

      • Making a complaint at a shop

      • Planning a holiday

  6. Pronunciation Focus (5 mins)

    • British accent tips:

      • “Can’t” /kɑːnt/

      • Linking sounds in phrases like “go on” → /gəʊ wɒn/

  7. Common Expressions / Idioms (5 mins)

    • Examples:

      • “It’s not my cup of tea.” (I don’t like it)

      • “I’m knackered!” (I’m very tired)

  8. Mini Listening (optional)

    • Short audio clips in British English with comprehension Qs
