Grade 6 Students Take Part in “Introduction to English – 2026” at Gandhi Hall, Matale

A special educational program titled “Introduction to English – 2026” was successfully conducted on 24th August 2025 at Gandhi Hall, Matale, focusing on Grade 6 students from the surrounding schools.

Organized to strengthen the foundations of English language learning, the program provided an interactive and enjoyable environment where students explored basic grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills. Activities included group discussions, short presentations, and practical exercises designed to build confidence in using English in everyday situations.

During the event, five scholarships were awarded to outstanding students in recognition of their performance and potential. The scholarships aim to support further studies and encourage continuous improvement in English language learning.

Teachers and facilitators praised the enthusiasm shown by the participants and highlighted the importance of starting language training at a younger age. Parents and community members also expressed their appreciation for the initiative, noting that it would help students prepare for higher studies and future opportunities.
